new crochet pattern - baby cap & cozy by tara schreyer.

Well, this pattern has been sitting dormant for almost 2 full years!!  It was Debra, from My Crochet Kits, that gave me the motivation to get it done.  Thanks Debra for giving me the nudge that I so desperately needed!!

Skill Level: Easy/Intermediate

Picture your precious newborn cuddled in this delicate bunting bag and matching beanie for his/her very first photo session!  Precious! And once you are finished with it as your photo-prop, you can be sure your daughter will claim it for her favorite dolly.

This crochet pattern calls for 3.5 balls of Knit Picks Swish Worsted - a beautifully soft superwash merino wool, but another fiber of similar weight can easily be substituted.  The stitches throughout the pattern are simple stitches - chain, single crochet, and double crochet but the combination of these stitches give it the gentle wave and lacy pattern throughout.

Finished measurements:
Baby Cap - 4.5” height, 11” circumference
Baby Cozy - 9.5” width x 17.5” length when laid flat
