<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This is the perfect crochet pattern for those 2 different colours of yarn that you’ve been dying to pair up. Perhaps, a speckled yarn with a tonal, or maybe a gradient yarn with a contrasting colour….the possibilities are endless!</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I used a fingering weight (1) yarn, but this pattern lends itself well to most weights. This asymmetrical shawl is worked sideways so you can make it as big, or small as you like. The pattern repeat is easy to memorize. Plus, I show you an easy way to switch the colours without having to fasten off, and having a ton of yarn ends to work in.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">This crochet pattern calls for a total of 4 balls of Drops Delight 50 g (1.76 ounces)/175 meters (191 yards) per ball. The colours shown are 2 balls of Grey (01), and 2 balls of Fall Forest (18). You will also need a 3.50 mm (E) crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge), and a yarn needle.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Also, this detailed well written pattern includes written instructions as well as a chart.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">The blocked shawl measures approximately 157.5 cm (62”) along the curved edge, and 38.1 cm (15”) at it’s longest point. Please note that measurements are approximate and will be affected by the gauge and the brand of yarn. For a professional look blocking is recommended.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">There are so many great long-term projects out there…the cozy memories blanket and the temperature blanket are just a few that have come across our radar and we love them! </span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">We thought a beautiful project for ourselves for the year 2017 would be something we call the “Gratitude Blanket”. Positivity goes a long way and this blanket is the perfect way to reflect on all the good happening in our lives, drawing us away from the negative thoughts that can so cleverly creep in.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial";"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqetyJq3MrTbgv726CvdRBqkOcH7ttELq_RPbDEC9hDJb8qDueEYvtfkJuB1byg270TPoh2zz6Ri6_Sg4Ohu_Kf7VHShmyam3oMAxOmmNgMme-nOrUU7EMayP1kH5Mv6F2iS1RQXmJNl36/s1600/gratitude+blanket+for+facebook.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="272" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqetyJq3MrTbgv726CvdRBqkOcH7ttELq_RPbDEC9hDJb8qDueEYvtfkJuB1byg270TPoh2zz6Ri6_Sg4Ohu_Kf7VHShmyam3oMAxOmmNgMme-nOrUU7EMayP1kH5Mv6F2iS1RQXmJNl36/s400/gratitude+blanket+for+facebook.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Here is the idea behind this project. Make a list of things that you are grateful for (a minimum of 6) and assign a colour of yarn for each. These can be as general or specific as you like.</span><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> </span><strong><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Each day, contemplate on one thing that you are grateful for and stitch a row of your blanket in the colour that corresponds.</span></strong><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> Of course, we are sure that when you stop to think about all that you have to be grateful for that day, you will have a variety of colors to choose from for your next row.</span><span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial";"></span><span style="font-family: "arial";"><br /></span>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Also, this project doesn’t have to last the entire year…if you are going through a particularly difficult time at some point through the year and just need something positive to dwell on, this is a great project to pick up. So the options are endless…you may wish to do one huge blanket, or you may wish to do several smaller blankets throughout the year, each meaning something different for you.</span></div>

The mitts feature a bold crochet cable on the front, with a surprise second cable on the thumb.<br /><br />Crochet instructions are written for one size (Ladies size S/M), but the post stitches allow for lots of stretch. <div style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: center;">
These gorgeous, knit-look, fingerless mitts are so much easier to crochet then they look! Plus, I show you an easy way to switch the colours without having to fasten off...which means a lot less yarn ends to work in.</div>

<div style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: center;">
This crochet pattern calls for a 3.00 mm crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge), stitch marker, yarn needle, ½ ball of Knit Picks® Chroma Fingering Yarn in Grey, and ½ to ¾ of a ball of Knit Picks® Chroma in Hollyhock. The extra ¼ of a ball of Hollyhock should be enough to compensate for the colour match. </div>

simple tunisian crochet stitches and works up quickly making it a great

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">I've been hard at work over the last many months, developing a new line of clothing and accessories for dolls. Here is my first design, for you and your little ones to enjoy! More designs to follow in the next few days, so stay tuned!</span></div>

<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Poufs are everywhere in home decor! Every little girl needs one! They
can be used as a seat, a foot stool or a floor pillow, whatever the
occasion. <br /><br />This pouf is crocheted in the round using only post
stitches giving it beautiful texture and style. You have the option of
two different designs - solid or striped, as well as two options for
finishing.</span><br />

37" circumference and 12" diameter and is designed to fit 18" dolls such
as American Girl® or Maplelea®.</span><br />

<br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">Caron took the fiber world by storm with the introduction of "<a href="http://www.michaels.com/caron-cakes-yarn/M10481921.html"><span style="color: #444444;"><b>Caron Cakes</b></span></a>", their new and delicious gradient yarn. Prior to the release of this new yarn, at <a href="http://www.michaels.com/caron-cakes-yarn/M10481921.html"><b><span style="color: #444444;">Michaels</span></b></a> stores across North America, gradient cakes were something that you only saw in high end yarn stores. As soon as pictures of the new Caron Cakes started to grace the web, I was instantly intrigued and I wondered how this box store gradient yarn would measure up.</span><br />
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">In a nut shell...I loved it! It was a fun and affordable way to try something new and exciting. Caron Cakes yarn is 20% wool, so it had no where near the plastic feel of many acrylics, plus the colourways are amazing. Soft and squishy, the Caron Cakes also boast a generous yardage of 350 meters (383 yards)</span><span style="color: #444444; font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">, which is more than enough to complete your basic crochet project. The Mostly Harmless pictured was completed with just one cake of Cookies and Cream.</span><br />

It would have been nice to see a more gradual colour change, but at this price point I don't think that it's really worth complaining about. Besides, if you find the colour change bothersome, the yardage is generous enough to fasten off at the end of a row/round and then start the next round with the new colour.</span><br />

<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Many mistakenly think that crocheting is strictly a cool weather hobby, so Tara and I have come up with 6 tips that will help you to continue crocheting...even when the weather is heating up.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvlUYJeo6P0fmmMbMyXHhlMHAEg8yM8-1xKcJcCDiMGEUKwEHe0RTh2ZetoA8FAtRu_gZWLAIIBrCn61llBd-BYvpGOBBQlyoHO4jYQIBhLJvU1Juv00rp1pByumXciiZ1MgkANQKxEcQ0/s1600/DONE+Camping+and+Crochet.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvlUYJeo6P0fmmMbMyXHhlMHAEg8yM8-1xKcJcCDiMGEUKwEHe0RTh2ZetoA8FAtRu_gZWLAIIBrCn61llBd-BYvpGOBBQlyoHO4jYQIBhLJvU1Juv00rp1pByumXciiZ1MgkANQKxEcQ0/s400/DONE+Camping+and+Crochet.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><b>#1 Think smaller projects like coasters.</b></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Tara's latest crochet pattern for the "Vintage Coffee Coasters" is an excellent example of a small project that is not only cool to work on, but it is also portable and quick to make.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><b>#2 If you have your heart set on a larger project, how about motifs?</b></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Motifs are a small project that pack a big punch. Since motifs are made individually they have all the same benefits of a small project, cool to work on, portable and quick to make. Once the cooler weather hits you can join them together to turn them into a queen bed cover, a table cloth, a scarf, a pillow. Your only limit is your imagination.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Summertime is the perfect time to try out some new fibers. How about cotton, linen, bamboo and hemp, all of which create breathable fabric that is cool to wear in warm weather.</span></div>

<b><span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;">#5 Pass the time while travelling</span></b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Crocheting is a wonderful way to pass the time while travelling. Whether you are travelling by car or plane, the trick is to think about your situation. Is there going to be a lot of quiet time, or are you going to be chatting with family and friends? Knowing your situation will help you to decide what kind of project you want to work on. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEic1EbYNE0JXfrAxcCf1Pc_NWFmd4voyYzOYDcZ3mozy7okxJ9ryv1XNq4_sHMiY6HWGmw4nsroUluwokdMpycGCWH2ZzhYvaLEZWzTAWfyVrUD6T3D56sJWW7pXZObvY4RtltDfidJz0Gh/s1600/The+Yarnit+Review+5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="272" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEic1EbYNE0JXfrAxcCf1Pc_NWFmd4voyYzOYDcZ3mozy7okxJ9ryv1XNq4_sHMiY6HWGmw4nsroUluwokdMpycGCWH2ZzhYvaLEZWzTAWfyVrUD6T3D56sJWW7pXZObvY4RtltDfidJz0Gh/s400/The+Yarnit+Review+5.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Crocheting while flying may take some extra planning. Airport security may be a problem so it is usually a good idea check with your airline to see what items you will be allowed to take on the plane. If bringing a metal hook is a problem, than how about a plastic or wood hook? If blunt scissors are going to be an issue then you may need to get creative. I read once that someone used the cutter on a dental floss container to cut their yarn. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: large;"><b>#6 Vacation time is crochet time!</b></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #444444; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Don't forget the pool, beach and camping. With minimal planning, you will find that all 3 are great places to bring your crochet. </span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">These coasters were inspired from some coasters that my aunt had given
to her. She loved them dearly but they were starting to show the love
that they received over the years. She asked if I would be able to make
her some new ones. Well, of course! But these had a little extra
something that made them unique! They had a rubber ring (used in
canning) incorporated into one of the rounds. Reminds me of how
crafters, in days gone by, were very thrifty and creative in choosing
their crafting materials. Therefore, I called them "vintage" as they
make me think of simpler times. <br /><br />This pattern offers well
written instructions and figure pictures. It calls for only 5
grams/18.25 yards of <span style="font-family: "arial" , "helvetica" , sans-serif;">sport</span> weight cotton (or comparable yarn) and a
2-3/8” Rubber Sealing Ring for each coaster. <br /><br />Finished size: 4 1/4” (10.8 cm) diameter.</span></div>
