Adopt your very own puppy...crochet stitch by crochet stitch!

Who could resist this lovable puppy? The legs and head are felted, whereas the body is left unfelted. This combination of texture adds to his character making him extra adorable.

This crochet pattern calls for ¾ of a ball of Patons® Classic Wool for felting [100 g (3.5 oz)/190 meters (210 yds) per ball, which is a worsted weight (4)]. You will also need a 3.50 mm (E) crochet hook, washable fiberfill, popcorn kernels (or filling of choice), a 38 gauge all purpose felting needle, scraps of black wool, and a yarn needle.

The pattern calls for the following stitches: sl st, sc, hdc, double crochet sc2tog, and loop stitch.

The finished puppy measures approximately 12.7 cm (5”) tall excluding the legs. Please note that size is approximate and will be affected by the gauge and the brand of wool.

new crochet pattern - woolly lamb by kim miller.



Skill Level: Intermediate

You can create your very own adorable, woolly lamb!

This crocheted lamb is packed with personality! The legs and head are felted, whereas the body and cap are left unfelted. This combination of texture is what adds to his character making him truly unique.

This crochet pattern calls for Patons® Classic Wool for felting [100 g (3.5 oz)/190 meters (210 yds) per ball, which is a worsted weight (4)] in the following colours: 1/3 of a ball of Dark Grey Mix, 1/2 of a ball Natural Mix and scraps of black. You will also need a 3.50 mm (E) crochet hook, washable fiberfill, popcorn kernels (or filling of choice), a 38 gauge all purpose felting needle, a yarn needle, a 14 mm (.55”) bell (optional) and a bit of string to attach the bell.

The pattern calls for the following stitches: sl st, sc, sc2tog, and bobble.

The finished lamb measures approximately 12.7 cm (5”) tall excluding the legs. Please note that size is approximate and will be affected by the gauge and the brand of wool.

sneak peek.

It seems like I've been working on the crochet pattern for this little guy forever...


Now, all that's left is to assemble the woolly lamb shown below. 



Well...of course I will also have to take pictures of each step as I assemble him, which will then be followed by picture editing. Next, I will insert the figure pictures in the pattern, do a final tech edit, and then the pattern will be ready for publication. Soooo....there is still lots of work to be done, but don't despair! I'm getting very close, and I hope that you will be as excited as me when this crochet pattern finally goes live!
