new crochet pattern - harmony shawl by kim miller.

Skill Level: Easy/Intermediate

This is the perfect crochet pattern for those 2 different colours of yarn that you’ve been dying to pair up. Perhaps, a speckled yarn with a tonal, or maybe a gradient yarn with a contrasting colour….the possibilities are endless!

I used a fingering weight (1) yarn, but this pattern lends itself well to most weights. This asymmetrical shawl is worked sideways so you can make it as big, or small as you like. The pattern repeat is easy to memorize. Plus, I show you an easy way to switch the colours without having to fasten off, and having a ton of yarn ends to work in.

This crochet pattern calls for a total of 4 balls of Drops Delight 50 g (1.76 ounces)/175 meters (191 yards) per ball. The colours shown are 2 balls of Grey (01), and 2 balls of Fall Forest (18). You will also need a 3.50 mm (E) crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge), and a yarn needle.

Also, this detailed well written pattern includes written instructions as well as a chart.
The blocked shawl measures approximately 157.5 cm (62”) along the curved edge, and 38.1 cm (15”) at it’s longest point. Please note that measurements are approximate and will be affected by the gauge and the brand of yarn. For a professional look blocking is recommended.
