We absolutely love it when our customers share pictures of their finished projects made from our patterns. Check out these awesome Felted Toddler Slip-ons made by Laura of LKsCreativeThread. 

 

I love them!! The little embellishments are the perfect touch to these slippers. She used ribbon across the top of the foot and handmade the little flowers. How you ask? I was curious too so I had to ask! "The flowers I handmade with wool felt I also got at Joanne s . I made the flowers behind cutting a round (how big I wanted the flower) then cut into it a spiral then rolled it and sewed it together then sewed them on. It was so much fun.. possibilities are endless!" Laura says.

And if her creativity on these slippers weren't enough, here is another pair that she made using the same pattern!

Isn't this little guy precious?? And look at him sporting his new "cookie monster" slippers.  Laura created these slippers using KnitPicks yarn. The eyes were added by using some white acrylic yarn and a bit of black felt.  They are adorable!

Tara and I both love it when customers send us pictures of their finished crochet projects, but today when one of our dear customers shared her picture of the Chunky Cables Decorative Throw with us, and the rest of the world, it was double the fun! This is the picture of the throw that Angie sent us earlier today.

 

Angie used Bernat Softee Chunky in the colour Forest to make her throw. Isn't it stunning? As I was admiring Angie's handiwork and chatting back and forth with her, something happened. Tara and I received this "Popular Listing" email from Etsy.

 

 

We've never received an email like this from Etsy. As I was busy trying to figure out what was going on, I received another email from Angie. A very excited Angie explained that The Crochet Crowd shared her picture of the Chunky Cables Decorative Throw on Facebook, and in less than an hour she had over 800 likes and 70 shares, and the last time that Iooked the numbers were still growing. Beautiful work, Angie, and thanks so much for sharing!!!

One of our dear customers, Colleen, kindly took the time to send us some pictures of her Pinwheel Pouf that she recently completed.  Along with the photos, she commented "It was a labor of love for sure but couldn't be happier with it!" 

 

We agree!  It is a fair amount of work but it is worth it.  Look at the amazing results she got for her patience and determination!  And now she is able to put her feet up and enjoy the fruits of her labour!

She lined it with turquoise flannel fabric for the purpose of keeping the stuffing contained and discovered that the colour shows through the small holes a bit and gives it a delightful contrast to the white. I might have to try that myself next time around! She then put in a bag worth of polyfil around the edges, set in a throw pillow that she wasn't using anymore, and then filled it in with another bag of polyfil.

I was feeling all headachie and blah when I woke up the other morning, but then I received these wonderful pictures from Jonelle, one of our customers, and they totally cheered me up!

For the owl bag Jonelle told us that the owl that she used to embellish the bag was actually from a ring. She just cut the ring part off and sewed the owl onto the bag...the rest she needle felted on.

I love the detail on the grape leaves...makes me want to dig out my needle felting kit!

Renee, a busy, multi-talented wife, mother, and grandmother of 4 has been crocheting for 30 years. "Crocheting is my passion and what I do to relax." she says.  I hear ya, Renee! What a great way to unwind after a hectic day at work.

Kerri from Calico Rabbit recently shared her finished item of the Hanging Storage Pouch crochet pattern and we absolutely love it!  Kerri has a true love of all things primitive and this comes across in her decorating style and her artistic handiwork.

We are always thrilled to hear from our customers!  We love to see how our crochet designs have inspired them to create something wonderful for themselves or someone that they love. We recently heard from Angela, who shared such beautiful photos of her finished projects that we just had to share the gorgeousness with you.  She used the crochet pattern "Hanging Storage Pouch" and she did two different versions of it. 

The first one is made up of a very thick wool. So thick, in fact, that she mentioned that it could even serve as a freestanding basket if she were to omit the hanging piece.  I love that idea! 

The second one she made up using a finer cotton blend and it is equally as beautiful!!  You can visit Angela's blog for more great photos of these pouches and be sure to check out all the beautiful items that she has in her shop "Simple Things Small Joys". We are always excited when customers send us photos of their finished projects!!! It is especially exciting when the customer takes the design to the next level. When you see this next picture we are sure that you will agree that Elisabeth of NineLadiesDesign did more than take the crochet pattern for the Classic Cables Ladies Tam (designed by myself, Kim Miller) to the next level...she came up with her own amazing design and we are very happy to be able to share this picture with you.

Elisabeth used Knit Picks Palette yarn to make both the tam and the Braided Fingerless Mitts. Elizabeth found that the fingering weight yarn didn't show off the cables on the Classic Ladies Tam so she used the cable pattern from the fingerless mitts and came up with her own design for this gorgeous hat featuring 5 braided cables. Great job and thanks so much for sharing!!!!!!!!!!
