sneak peek.

A month or so ago, when I started working in the round with cotton stripes, I couldn't decide if I wanted to create a pattern for storage bins....or a bucket bag....so I created both :)

I was hoping to release the pattern for the Making Waves Bucket Bag this week, but time got away on me, so I should have the pattern up by early next week. In the meantime have a great weekend!!!

I'm an organizing junkie, and it seems that I never have enough storage bins...especially when it comes to yarn and crafts. I haven't quite decided what space I will be sprucing up with these classic, striped bins, but I'm super excited to share them with you!

I will let you know the minute that the crochet pattern is up!

Coffee anyone? These coasters work up extremely quick, and have a secret component to keep them weighted and durable.

These offer so much potential for individual creativity. Use a neutral colour for a classic look, or play with bright colours for a cheerful set. I'm working on the pattern now, and should have it up for you sometime next week!

I know that it is a crazy time of year to be working on a cozy scarf pattern, but that's just where my brain is at the moment. Besides...crocheting and crafting doesn't always have to make sense...sometimes it just needs to make us smile :)

I'm hoping to have the crochet pattern for this "Cabled Keyhole Scarf" up soon!

This cowl has been in my brain for over a year and I'm happy to say it has finally come about.

I love how it turned out! Simple stitches blocked out and 100% baby alpaca gives it a truly luxurious look and feel. Looking forward to sharing it with you in the very near future!

It seems like I've been working on the crochet pattern for this little guy forever...

Now, all that's left is to assemble the woolly lamb shown below.

Well...of course I will also have to take pictures of each step as I assemble him, which will then be followed by picture editing. Next, I will insert the figure pictures in the pattern, do a final tech edit, and then the pattern will be ready for publication. Soooo....there is still lots of work to be done, but don't despair! I'm getting very close, and I hope that you will be as excited as me when this crochet pattern finally goes live!

Ever since I first seen little, felted, balls with acorn tops on Etsy I've been dying to make some of my very own. Finally, this year, while visiting Vancouver for Knit City 2015, I found some adorable acorn caps. As soon as I got home I went to work on felting the autumn coloured balls, shown below, to glue into the caps. Are they not the sweetest thing?

Who knew that this quick little craft project would became the inspiration for my next crochet design.

This crochet acorn combines 2 different textures to give it a natural woodsy look. The acorn and oak leaf are both felted, whereas the cap is left unfelted. This combination of texture gives it a truly natural feel of the original. This acorn measures approximately 10 cm (4") in length making it a great accent for the home, or a decorative pincushion for your sewing basket.

The crochet pattern for the Woodland Acorn is nearing completion and will be ready for publication any day now.

I was really surprised at how fast this crochet pattern came together...that rarely ever happens!

Also, I'm so excited and happy with how it turned out!! In the pattern the cables are getting progressively longer, but I love that they also look like they are getting progressively wider at the bottom.

I should have the pattern up later this week :)

My sister-in-law inspired this pillow cover. She showed me a picture of a pillow that she fell in love with while visiting a little gift shop. She is a thrifty girl and a DIYer at heart so she sadly walked away from it, hoping that someday she could have something similar.  She showed the picture to me and it inspired this new design.  Hope she likes it!!

Won't be long and I will have the pattern up for you all to enjoy!

Bernat Blanket is a super bulky yarn with the texture of chenille, so everyone that comes into my house not only oohs and ahhs, but they immediately have to go over and touch this super soft and chunky throw...

The pattern for this trendy chevron throw is almost done, so it won't be long until you are able to crochet one up for yourself!

Here is a little set that I have been working on. Nice bright colours to welcome spring!!

This pattern will include instructions to make 3 different sized bowls. They are made up holding 2 strands of cotton, making the sides nice and sturdy. Hoping to work on the pattern this week and have it available to you all soon!

I love how the colours blend from one to the other in this infinity scarf! Only 3 colours are used but you get four different colour blocks. The combinations are endless!

Don't recognize the stitch?  It is the backside of a tunisian crochet stitch and it lent itself wonderfully to this pattern. I'm working on the pattern now and I hope to have it available to you in the very near future!

Introducing a new model, and a new crochet pattern....

My son-in-law kindly agreed to model for this hooded neck warmer. He's such a good sport, and thanks to his help this crochet pattern should be ready soon!!

I am normally quite camera shy, but with my children growing up and moving away models are getting harder and harder to come by...so here it is...my modeling debut and a sneak peek.

The crochet pattern for this warm and snuggly hood should be up sometime next week.
